TZ 17 You are Called of God.

Take time to ponder on the title.

If you have a calling in the Church right now, know that you are called of God!

Know that you can do it. God will give you strength to do it.

D&C 24:7-9

For thou shalt devote all thy service in Zion; and in this thou shalt have strength.
8 Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days.
9 And in temporal labors thou shalt not have strength, for this is not thy calling. Attend to thy calling and thou shalt have wherewith to magnify thine office, and to expound all scriptures, and continue in laying on of the hands and confirming the churches.

Chinese is a struggle right now.

But this verse just gave me the feeling of reassurance. Knowing that I am called to preach the gospel in Mandarin.

Heavenly Father lives! He really does answer prayers through the scriptures, or maybe through people!

Continue to pray, read the scriptures sincerely! It is such an awesome feeling when you get an answer. So much peace and happiness! 😊

Pray for my Chinese too! 😣

I love you all! Be alert and enjoy the week!

TZ 16 Constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.

Hello!嗯嗯!

Last week, I wasn't able to send an email because I had to go down to Kaoshiung! So sorry!

So yeah! I'm now serving at Kaoshiung 前鎮支會. Or The Bay 😁!

We are whitewashing this area. It means me and my companion are new to the area. No one knows us. People being taught doesn't know us.

But it's been super fun! All the people being taught by the Elders and Sisters were given to us. (More work! 😬)

Yeah there are no Sisters in our area. They are closed for awhile.

Anyways last week we met all of the progressing people. And it's super cool how young they are and have an interest in the gospel!

How excited I am to teach them!

Last week, I've realized that we really have to make plans to balance things.

Since we've been so busy contacting people being taught, our study time has been less. And not reading the scriptures really dulls us spiritually.

So invite everyone! Wow! I haven't done this in awhile...

To plan what things can be set aside from and use that time to read the scriptures. Or even go to the temple.

If we do this, I promise that our lives will constantly have the companionship of the Holy Ghost!

Oh and I have another Taiwanese companion! He's name is Elder Huang 黃!

加油加油 Everyone! Have an awesome week! I love you!

TZ 14 Don't Count The Days, Make The Days Count.

Glorious! We met President Card's family last week! Such a great Family! They shared how they received their calling, and also some of his experience back when he was serving his mission in Taipei.

Super humble man! He showed us his 1950 restored mustang and shared how he was driving to the top of the mountain and just thinking about how he can face the challenges in his life. I miss that! I miss driving around and just thinking about life! haha

President Cards situation is different. He brought his family with him so he's not going to travel a lot together with his wife. Sister Card will be watching over the kids. President Card's oldest son will be serving in California Arcadia mandarin speaking as well.

Sweet! The work here in Nantun is great! We ended the week with just two lessons. But it was awesome! Both the people we were teaching are super interested. They were asking a ton of questions! I'm happy I have a Taiwanese companion! haha

I love the analogy of President Oaks about having our lines in the water once we step out of our apartment. It has been fun and at the same time frustrating giving everyone the opportunity to hear the gospel. But I love this work! I love the perspective of being used as an instrument by Heavenly Father. He indeed is doing his work. Not us. If we do his will and fully surrender ourselves to do His work. I have found joy in doing that! It's been hard some days but just knowing that He is guiding us, is such a good comfort for me!

He lives! Have a great week! ! ! ! ! !

TZ 13 ENDAO

For the past few days, a lot people are telling me that I'm handsome??? Haven't heard that in awhile haha!

Last Saturday, President and Sister Teh left Taiwan! Im super grateful to be able to work with President and Sister Teh for just two months! They have been such a great example to the whole mission!

President and Sister Card is now our Mission President! I invite everyone to pray for them! They brought their whole family with them so I think it's going to be a hard transition for them! So please pray for them!

We'll be seeing them this Tuesday and I'm super excited! I wonder how the Mission is going to be like in the next 3 or maybe 4 months!

Everything is so much better when you do the will of Heavenly Father! I have felt so much joy and peace as I just forget myself and do His work!

Matthew 10:39
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

This verse is super incredible! Iove this verse. Just look at the blessing of it! Glorious! The blessing of the last sentence. Not the first one haha!

I know that Heavenly Father lives! He knows each one of us! He knows YOU! He knows how you feel, He knows the pain you are feeling right now. And I testify that He is super willing to help you if you just ask! (through prayer!) Ask how you are going to go through it. Because he won't help if you just sit and wait to receive help. So let me rephrase that sentence. He is willing to help you go through the challenge you have right now. He loves you!
