TZ 43 Learning .

Hello! It was a pretty cool week of learning. I don't have a lot of time (because we played board games the whole afternoon oops) to write but I'll try do give as much information as I can!

Last week went by fast wow. We're in a season of finding. It's fun and the same time tiring. Yeah, nothing really has been happening.

But I've been learning to be more humble and patient. Last week, in district council we talked about patience and it kind've hit me. I never thought that patience could connect with humility.

There are times that I rely on myself that I can do things on my own. Then I tend to ask why am I not getting the results and start getting frustrated.

There are just some things that we can't control. We just have to do our part and enjoy doing the things we do.

I love you all! See you next week haha!

TZ 42 Chinese New Year Hang Over

Wow it still feels like Chinese New Year over here. Seems like people haven't came back from their long vacation.

Nothing really happened last week but it was still fun doing the work and talking to the people in 大坑。

There were times during the week were I felt so tired and just wanted to stay home 😂

But the quote from Ezra Taft Benson keeps coming to my mind.

“I have often said one of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work! If a missionary works, he will get the Spirit; if he gets the Spirit, he will teach by the Spirit; and if he teaches by the Spirit, he will touch the hearts of the people and he will be happy. There will be no homesickness, no worrying about families, for all time and talents and interests are centered on the work of the ministry. Work, work, work—there is no satisfactory substitute, especially in missionary work.”

      —President Ezra Taft Benson

I've seen the effects of it immediately. We continued talking to people and we were blessed with smiles from the people we talked to or even just passed by.

Other than that, we're going to keep working and be on the Lord's errand this week! We love you all!

TZ 41 Red Envelopes.

It's been awesome celebrating Chinese New Year with the members here in DaKeng. We were able to get to know them even more be able to bring the Spirit to their homes.

For Chinese New Year, I was expecting members to feed us crazy. Since that's what I have been hearing from every other missionaries. They say that on Chinese New Year, you gain a ton of weight. So was expecting to be super full, until I unbuckle my belt. But happily we were not fed crazy.

This week, our District came out with an activity for Chinese New Year. We made about 400-500 envelopes. A 100 for each area. And we would visit every members and less active members in the area and hand them the red envelopes. Miraculously, some less actives were willing to let us come and hand them the red envelopes. It's all about the red envelopes! Haha! We were able to get to know them and know their story in joining the church. It was great to see their smiles. I love the people here in Taiwan!

I want to share with you all this verse in Doctrine and Covenants 130:20-21. It says, "There us law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated. And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated."

Let us all try this week to be obedient to our covenants with Heavenly Father and the commandments he has given to us. It would be great if we all share our experiences on being obedient our covenants and the commandments of Heavenly Father.

It has been said by Joseph Smith. "When we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated."

TZ 40 Chinese New Year .

It's been a crazy long week again. We're stilling trying to work on our teaching pool. The past few weeks, it's been bad and so we are trying to prepare ourselves.

For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that trusteth in his sickle with his might...

I'm trying to put this verse into my heart. The Lord has said it for himself. The field is white already to harvest! It is indeed white already to harvest.

The people we are teaching so far is doing great! They are having some trials but I know that they can get through it with the help of our loving Father. Indeed the gospel can bless the lives of people.

I know that Heavenly Father lives. There are days where it seems that Heavens are closed but I know that He is still with us. We just have to keep moving forward with Faith. Just as what Elder Holland says "hold fast to what you already know and stand strong until additional knowledge comes."

Have a wonderful week! I love you and miss you all!
