TZ 8 耶穌基督福音的復興。

Hello everyone! Another week full of trials here at 南屯! The people here in Taiwan are super busy! But it's all good! This is one of the reasons of serving the Lord for two years. He wants us to fully turn to Him in times of help.

Another awesome thing is one of our investigator, who has been meeting with tons of missionaries finally decided to be baptized! Hearing him say those words really made me and my companion feel the spirit. We could tell it was out of a desire that he wanted to be baptized. His attitude really changed. He seems to be always smiling. It isn't just a smile but we know that he's super happy. You could see the light in his eyes as he enters the Chapel. He then also gave us tons of ties!

Also transfers is about to come and I think Elder Davis is getting transfered! He's been in the area for five transfers. Yes FIVE! haha such a long time. But obviously he loves the people here! Hopefully will see him again soon!

I know that Christ lives! It is through his restored gospel that improves and eases the burdens of our lives. I am so grateful for His atoning sacrifice! It allows us to be even more!

TZ 7 It's Getting Darker !

It's Monday again?! Wow last week went by so fast! This week we had zero lessons, but we did find a ton of people willing to meet with us again. But again, the people of Taiwan are so busy.

We were on our bikes contacting our way to lunch and we talked to this Ama, it was so unusual because we asked her if she was a Taoist or a Fojiao. She said didn't she didn't have any. So we invited her to come to church. The following day, she showed up with her daughter and granddaughter! I think these are the souls Heavenly Father has prepared to hear the gospel. It's so cool how an invite to come to church can bring so much blessings. One is an opportunity to hear the gospel and its their choice to decide if it has validity in their lives.

Technology, such an awesome thing! It enables us to communicate and even get their information way faster. But sometimes we get caught up just scrolling through the messages, going wherever you want to go. I'm grateful to be part of a smartphone mission. I have just started but I can see the vision for it. It is not just for the Mission, but creating good habits when coming back home and using it as an advantage to let people see or hear the gospel. Not just sharing the gospel but by also Ministering to the people!

I know that Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ lives. I am so so so so grateful for Heavenly Father sending his son to do the sacrifice, allowing us to come back to him. Let us use this great blessing, the atonement. To become like Jesus Christ (3 Nephi 12:48)

By the way, I'm getting darker and darker haha 😂 Everyone is just telling me that I'm so dark .

TZ 6 Happy Mother's Day Everyone !

Hello everyone! Last Monday I had my first bike accident haha. It's not that bad tho, just a few scratches. I have some few pictures but Mom probably wouldn't like it. Then there's this couple fighting in the bus stop, and Elder Davis stopped the fight.

So I think the lesson I got from the bike accident is that we should also look out for ourselves. We are so focused on helping others that we forget ourselves, that we don't need help but in reality we do. So yeah, treat yourselves this week if you need to haha

We found a lot of people who were willing to meet with us again. So hoping they will have time to meet with us. We also had a lot of people in the English class! It was so fun teaching them. everyone trying their best to speak English, There was a big family so we decided to share the Plan of Salvation after teaching them English. Hopefully they will continue coming and maybe have interest in listening the message.

We visited two families this week and each had different trials. But it is so cool that through the Book of Mormon, we can get the strength, idea, and everything that will help us through our trial and strengthen our Faith in Heavenly Father. I testify that the Book of Mormon is powerful. It helps us through challenges. Prayers don't get answered right away but I know it's a way for us to really grow from challenges in life.

I invite everyone who reads this to prayerfully study the Book of Mormon. and for those who will be reading the Book of Mormon for the first time, read the introduction and find out what it's inviting you to do. I know it will really bless your life!

Have a great week! also Happy Mothers Day! Behold thy Mother - Elder Holland We love you mom! 😄

TZ 5 Efforts Are Never Wasted.

Hello! How is everyone? This week went by soooo fast! I would describe this week as "Plans don't always go out as planned". Plans of finding became helping a member move furnitures, Getting Elder Davis' bike fixed, an investigator texting us that he doesn't want to meet with us anymore.
But it's all good! Cause we're missionaries!
We really did not have any success in finding this week. We had 0 investigators. But this verse helped me a lot.

29 And we have entered into their houses and taught them, and we have taught them in their streets; yea, and we have taught them upon their hills; and we have also entered into their temples and their synagogues and taught them; and we have been cast out, and mocked, and spit upon, and smote upon our cheeks; and we have been stoned, and taken and bound with strong cords, and cast into prison; and through the power and wisdom of God we have been delivered again.
30 And we have suffered all manner of afflictions, and all this, that perhaps we might be the means of saving some soul; and we supposed that our joy would be full if perhaps we could be the means of saving some.
31 Now behold, we can look forth and see the fruits of our labors; and are they few? I say unto you, Nay, they are many; yea, and we can witness of their sincerity, because of their love towards their brethren and also towards us.
Our efforts are never wasted! It's all about our attitude! Always look for the good things!
I invite everyone! To write down in their journal the blessings you get from reading the Book of Mormon, Obeying the commandments, Repenting, Knowing the Atonement, Know where we go after our life here on earth, Joseph Smith, and how Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father has helped you so far.
Have a great week! I love you!
