St. George 1 My First Week On The Field !

你們好! My trainer is from Taiwan (Elder Tseng) so that's good. I have someone to talk to in Chinese. Our area are mostly members and less actives and our Mission President ( D. Zackary Smith) told us not to teach the less actives. And four of our investigators are sick, so we can't teach them. So not a ton of appointments last week.

The people here are not what I've expected. Probably because I kept thinking of the Taiwan people. But anyways, this is still the Lord's work. Just different people.

I've been thinking lately on why missions are hard and one of the reason I have seen is that when we need help, we usually turn to our parents, music, and friends directly. But as a missionary we don't have these things and the only person we can turn to directly is Heavenly Father. And looking back while I was at the MTC, I have seen Him helped me go through the trials I had.
I invite everyone to turn to Heavenly Father when you need help. Pray and ask him sincerely to help you. I testify that He will be there for you.

MTC 10 Reassigned To Saint George Utah Mission Momentarily.

Hello! Another week here at the MTC was crazy. Lot's of ups and downs. But I'm fine! I'm trying to learn more Chinese characters. We 're assigned to teacher other districts.
The week felt pretty long. I think its because we got new faces in the room, new atmosphere.
Sorry no photo's for this week. Pretty busy studying and reading.
We'll know tomorrow where were getting reassigned. I'm pretty excited. Have a great week  :-)

MTC 9 Another Week Here At The MTC.

我們的簽證沒有到達 ! Our Visa's Didn't Arrive 我們的簽證沒有到達
( Our Taiwan Visa's Didn't Arrive Today)

Hello! It's been a wonderful week! We got to see President M. Russel Ballard and he shared his testimony and did some Q&A. And also our visa's got delayed and they said we have to stay here at the MTC another week. But some of our district are leaving since they're not going to Taichung. So now it's pretty quiet in our residence and classroom.
I've been studying more on the Doctrine of Christ. The Book of Mormon has been a great help for it. If you study and ponder it, you can learn a lot! Our teacher taught us some ways on how to study the scripture and it has been helpful. I've heard a lot of being converted first before you teach the people. Don't just have a testimony but be converted. Feast upon the words of Christ.
Hopefully our visa's come. I am so excited for Taiwan!

MTC 7 & 8 - The Final Week Is Here !

Hey everyone! Week 7 was a good one! We had Elder Jeffrey R. Holland for our Tuesday devotional. It was a very spiritual experience. As he talked, I have felt how he really loves missionary work! As he stepped in the building, the spirit just filled the building! He bared his testimony and it is so simple and profound.
We also got our travel plans this week. Everyone just went crazy when they received the email. I hope we all get our visa's though.
We're leaving next week and we're all so excited! I hope we wont get distracted from it too much. We gotta use our last week effectively and not slack!
