TZ 6 Happy Mother's Day Everyone !

Hello everyone! Last Monday I had my first bike accident haha. It's not that bad tho, just a few scratches. I have some few pictures but Mom probably wouldn't like it. Then there's this couple fighting in the bus stop, and Elder Davis stopped the fight.

So I think the lesson I got from the bike accident is that we should also look out for ourselves. We are so focused on helping others that we forget ourselves, that we don't need help but in reality we do. So yeah, treat yourselves this week if you need to haha

We found a lot of people who were willing to meet with us again. So hoping they will have time to meet with us. We also had a lot of people in the English class! It was so fun teaching them. everyone trying their best to speak English, There was a big family so we decided to share the Plan of Salvation after teaching them English. Hopefully they will continue coming and maybe have interest in listening the message. 

We visited two families this week and each had different trials. But it is so cool that through the Book of Mormon, we can get the strength, idea, and everything that will help us through our trial and strengthen our Faith in Heavenly Father. I testify that the Book of Mormon is powerful. It helps us through challenges. Prayers don't get answered right away but I know it's a way for us to really grow from challenges in life.

I invite everyone who reads this to prayerfully study the Book of Mormon. and for those who will be reading the Book of Mormon for the first time, read the introduction and find out what it's inviting you to do. I know it will really bless your life!

TZ 5 Efforts Are Never Wasted.

Hello! How is everyone? This week went by soooo fast! I would describe this week as "Plans don't always go out as planned". Plans of finding became helping a member move furnitures, Getting Elder Davis' bike fixed, an investigator texting us that he doesn't want to meet with us anymore. 

But it's all good! Cause we're missionaries! 

We really did not have any success in finding this week. We had 0 investigators. But this verse helped me a lot.

 29 And we have entered into their houses and taught them, and we have taught them in their streets; yea, and we have taught them upon their hills; and we have also entered into their temples and their synagogues and taught them; and we have been cast out, and mocked, and spit upon, and smote upon our cheeks; and we have been stoned, and taken and bound with strong cords, and cast into prison; and through the power and wisdom of God we have been delivered again.

30 And we have suffered all manner of afflictions, and all this, that perhaps we might be the means of saving some soul; and we supposed that our joy would be full if perhaps we could be the means of saving some.

31 Now behold, we can look forth and see the fruits of our labors; and are they few? I say unto you, Nay, they are many; yea, and we can witness of their sincerity, because of their love towards their brethren and also towards us.

Our efforts are never wasted! It's all about our attitude! Always look for the good things! 

I invite everyone! To write down in their journal the blessings you get from reading the Book of Mormon, Obeying the commandments, Repenting, Knowing the Atonement, Know where we go after our life here on earth, Joseph Smith, and how Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father has helped you so far.

TZ 4 Teach Repentance. Baptize Converts.

Hello guys! What are your thoughts on the title? Before coming to Taiwan I had thoughts of talking to everyone and them wanting to meet with us again. 

But no, of course, expect the unexpected. Some would say no right away. Some would ignore us. Even some would run away from us. 

And as I think about this more and more, Heavenly Father has a time for those souls who are ready to learn and act on the gospel. It is hard finding these people. But it is such a blessing to see them change. 

I invite everyone to take time and study this talk!

TZ 3 2nd Week In Nan Tun

大家好！I've been pushing myself lately to try to talk to everyone. Since I'm not that kind of person who starts the conversation, it's really hard for me. I've talked to people on their scooters and they'd reject right away, some wouldn't even look and talk haha.

Last week I've learn more of the purpose of missionaries. "Invite others to come unto Christ..." The "others" referred is basically everyone. Members or non members. And this has so much in common with Ministering. If we think of how we can help our non members or members it is much more easier to fulfill our purpose as missionaries. And President Nelson's talk about personal revelation helps a lot too! Truly Heavenly Father is hastening his work! When we love our members and non members and think of ways to help them, we are slowly becoming like Christ.

We are all invited to come unto Christ. (Moroni 10:32) When we try to become like as He is, I promise you that you will receive joy, and peace. Have a great week!

Hello everyone! I'm at Taiwan woo-hoo! It's great to actually see people on the streets walking haha! Back in St. George we'd see only like 10 people a day on the streets. Biking is fun and hopefully no accidents will happen. Missionary work is crazy with a cellphone. Everything is at Chinese Characters. So much 看不懂！

We had stake conference yesterday and I did not understand every word they said but I definitely felt the Holy Ghost. 

I invite everyone to continue to prayerfully read the Book of Mormon. Gain a testimony of each of the doctrines contained in the book. I know that the doctrines found in the book guides our way to salvation.

Personal Thoughts about my Mission President .

 He's such a great Mission President. From the moment we had our interview, I knew that he had the desire to help the missionaries become strong. He had a talk in stake conference yesterday and it was so powerful.

He gave a talk about the missionaries. That the missionaries are willing to change. Willing to learn the language to be able to communicate with people and to show their love to them. Missionaries are willing to do anything to help to ward grow. But it's not only the missionaries job to do this. Every member needs to help. And then he connected it with ministering. Surely Heavenly Father is hastening his work by making us LOVE the people. We don't necessarily have to share the Gospel right away but as time goes they can see the Light of Christ in us and question us why there is something different in us. I know it sounds so easy but it's hard to do that's why we need the constant help from Heavenly Father by personal revelation. Meaningful prayers, asking Heavenly Father how I can be a help to this ward or stake, how can I show my love to this person. I know that work and school makes us forget these things but if we sacrifice a little time for Heavenly Father, we are contributing to his work. Also sacrificing some time to go to the temple is helping in his work.

General conference has been great! And the topic that they've emphasize is the Holy Ghost. They want us to recognize the spirit more and act upon it.
I invite you guys to try to recognize the spirit more. To be able to recognize it, is we have to be worthy and to be worthy is to obey all his commandments. The holy ghost guides us in everything we do. Not only when were reading the scriptures, going to church. But if we let the spirit work on us with school and work, I'm sure all things will go well.
